IT Support & Business Systems Analyst

Join our dynamic team as an IT Support & Business Systems Analyst, where you'll be at the forefront of ensuring seamless technology operations and innovative system solutions. Medical Mutual Insurance Company of Maine is seeking a highly organized and technically inclined individual to join our Information Technology Team in an in-office role supporting our core business systems and internal users. This position combines Tier 1 user support, business systems analysis, vendor coordination, and operational support responsibilities within a collaborative and professional office environment. The role supports our Oasis insurance platform and related technologies. The ideal candidate is customer-focused, organized, eager to learn complex business operations and enterprise systems, and is motivated to learn and grow. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential. Knowledge of Microsoft networks, Microsoft 365, Azure, reporting tools, or SQL/database concepts is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support for business applications, desktop systems, hardware, and software used throughout the organization.
  • Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve user-reported issues by gathering requirements, analyzing system behavior, and documenting findings and resolutions.
  • Perform technical analysis of business systems, including reproducing issues in test environments and utilizing SQL queries to diagnose application and data-related problems.
  • Prioritize and manage support requests, ensuring timely resolution and appropriate escalation based on business impact, complexity, and urgency.
  • Coordinate with software vendors and service providers by documenting issues, submitting support cases, and participating in meetings and troubleshooting sessions.
  • Test software fixes, enhancements, and configuration changes, and coordinate user acceptance testing to ensure successful implementation.
  • Develop a strong understanding of the company's business processes, insurance operations, applications, and technology environment in order to provide effective support and recommendations.

  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and support requests in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with individuals at all levels of technical expertise.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to understand business needs and recommend effective solutions.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Self-motivated and able to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Interest in business operations, technology, and enterprise systems. Experience with insurance, accounting, reporting tools, Oracle databases, or business analysis is beneficial but not required.
