Leadership

Guided by core principles

Our Board. Of the medical community. And in service
to the medical community.

At Medical Mutual, more physicians and hospital administrators serve on the Board than at any other company in the market, including other mutual companies.

Moreover, these active Board members live and work here in the communities we serve and represent a wide array of specialties. Which is to say the Medical Mutual Board is a true reflection of its policyholders, which gives them unique insight into and understanding of your needs and challenges. Passionate about medicine and both protecting and enhancing the practice environment, these distinguished individuals dedicate significant time and talent to the Company and the cause for your benefit as a healthcare provider.

Meet the Management team — people you may very well get to know by name.

At the Board and Committee levels, Medical Mutual is led by a distinguished group of physicians and hospital administrators. Similarly, a physician and longstanding member-policyholder leads the Company as President and CEO — with the help of accomplished professionals in every facet of insurance operations.

Sharing the Company mission and guided by its core principles, these talented specialists have helped Medical Mutual become one of the premier medical professional liability insurance carriers in New England. And they help set the tone for the caring, compassionate and responsive customer service that is the hallmark of Medical Mutual’s day–to–day operations.

John Doyle

Vice President - Marketing & Administration

John brings a career's worth of experience in the medical professional liability insurance business to his position as Vice President of Marketing and Administration at Medical Mutual. He came to the Company in August 2001 from Cleveland, Ohio after having spent 10 years working at a large physician-owned regional medical professional liability insurance carrier and another four years developing a medical professional liability unit in one of Ohio's largest independent insurance agencies.
