Challenging scenarios, interactive assessments and responses
The first half of the seminar will feature group exercises in handling unique patient care and family communication challenges. You’ll get an overview of best practices for patient and family communication, then work in teams to assess the salient issues to plot effective, compassionate strategies for responding to specific challenges. Each team will share their assessments for review and discussion by the assembled group.

The second half of the seminar will feature an overview of the licensing complaint system in Maine. You’ll get a look at the Board’s make-up and its impact on licensing decisions, as well as advice on how best to deal with complaints against providers’ licenses.
