Practice Managers' Workshops - Focusing on strategies to reduce risk.

On July 8, 2008 Medical Mutual held a Practice Managers Education Workshop for its insured physician practices. As part of the program, Medical Mutual developed a "breakout group" section, where four groups of Workshop participants, assisted by members of our Claims and Risk Management Departments, discussed topics previously identified as resulting in the highest number of telephone calls and questions from our practice managers. These topics were:
- Drug Diversion and Narcotic Management
- Managing Patient Complaints
- Medical Records Issues
- Termination of the Physician/Patient Relationship
