Medical Mutual has developed a number of short in-service education seminars designed around specific topics related to the office practice, hospitals and long term care. The complimentary seminars can be conducted right in your facility so that all who attend get the necessary detail to execute best practices in the area covered.

Customer Service - This is a 1-hour presentation that focuses on establishing good customer service skills. Target audience: office practice staff, physicians
Defensible Documentation - This is a 1-hour presentation focused on recommended documentation practices including challenges with the EMR if applicable. Target audience: clinical staff, physicians.
Disclosure of Adverse Events - This 1-2 hour presentation addresses Medical Mutual’s position on disclosure, apology and the related liability. Topics covered include how to discuss an unanticipated outcome, a suggested disclosure process, and documentation of disclosure discussions. Target audience: physicians, risk management.
Reducing Risk in the Office Setting - A 1-2 hour presentation focusing on office practice systems, including diagnostic test tracking, telephone triage, telephone management, appointment scheduling, documentation, environmental safety, etc. Target audience: clinical and office staff, physicians.
Confidentiality in the Office Practice - A 1-hour presentation on risk management theory as it relates to maintaining confidentiality in this setting. Target audience: clinical and office staff, physicians.
