Hodgkin, Peaslee Promoted at Medical Mutual

Medical Mutual recently announced the promotion of two long-tenured employees to executive positions within the Company. Steve Hodgkin has been promoted from Application Support Manager to Chief Information Officer and Cheryl Peaslee has been promoted from Manager of the Risk Management Department to Assistant Vice President – Risk Management.

"These are very strategic areas for the Company that provide important competitive advantages for us. We’re fortunate to have two such high caliber people to lead them," said Domenic Restuccia, Executive VP & CFO. "Having been with Medical Mutual for a number of years, Steve and Cheryl know the Company very well and possess the insight and management skills to help their departments evolve and maintain their high standards of performance."

In his new position, Hodgkin will be responsible for directing the Company’s information technology and data integrity. He will also help identify areas where technology can enhance the efficiency of business practices. The initial focus of such enhancements will be on policyholder services to be offered through the Company’s web portal initiative.

Hodgkin’s tenure with the Company totals nearly ten years. He rejoined Medical Mutual in 2003 after three years with a technology company that serves healthcare and other industries.

Peaslee has been with Medical Mutual since 1999 and has led the Risk Management Department as Manager since 2004. In addition to managing dayto- day departmental operations, she will be responsible for facilitating the development of new methods and services that enhance quality in the medical care environment and support the risk management efforts of Medical Mutual’s member-policyholders. She holds a B.S. in Nursing, as well as a Master of Business Administration degree and is actively involved with a number of state, regional and national healthcare quality and risk management associations.
