Knox Promoted to Assistant Vice President
Mary Elizabeth Knox was recently promoted from her position as Medical
Mutual’s Claims Manager to Assistant Vice President-Claims. Ms. Knox
joined Medical Mutual in 1993 as a Senior Claims Representative. Since
then, her role in the Company’s Claims Department has continuously
expanded. In her new position, Ms. Knox will oversee all day-to-day
operations of the seven-person Claims Department.
Prior to joining Medical Mutual, Knox, a Wellesley alumnus,
served as a paralegal with Norman, Hanson and DeTroy, a Portlandbased
law firm which is a longstanding partner of Medical Mutual
with particular expertise in medical professional liability litigation.
Knox provided litigation assistance to one of the firm’s founders, the
late Robert Hanson.
