Northern New England is experiencing an increasing number
of staff credentialing and privileging claims with claimants setting
their sights on hospital administrators, hospital committee
members and department heads. At the same time, plaintiffs in
medical professional liability lawsuits are casting a wider net,
to include allegations of negligent credentialing and privileging
in addition to allegations of professional negligence. Add the
still-to-be-determined implications of liability associated with
